Study in Qingdao
Study in Qingdao. Qingdao – “Green Island“, most noted for its famous Qing-Tao brewery – a relic of German occupation in the 1800s- 1900s. There is a Beer Festival in German-style every August. Qing-Tao beer is China’s leading exporter of consumer goods, which gives its residents even more reason to celebrate. Before Japanese and German occupation it used to be a small fishing village. Climate
Winter in Qingdao is quite cold with strong winds. However, you can always warm up by eating something spicy or hot-pot dinner. For the rest of the year, the weather is warm and summer isn’t too hot.
Qingdao University
The predecessor of Qingdao University was Qingdao Specialized Institute founded in 1909. The university is unique in medical education: Qingdao Medical School, Qingdao Medical University and Qingdao Medical Specialized School.
Another historical predecessor of Qingdao University was National Shandong University (1924). In 1946, National Shandong University allied with Qingdao Medical Specialized School, which led to the creation of Medical School. Qingdao University started reconstruction in 1985.
Qingdao University is large enough that here 26 specialties, as well as teaching offices, are available. Students can study here one of 11 subjects such as economic, historical, medical, educational and military sciences. Over hundreds of bachelor’s degree studies, 210 postgraduate, almost 140 Ph.D. programs can be available throughout the institution.
Qingdao University of Science and Technology
Founded in 1950, Qingdao University of Science and Technology (QUST) located in the beautiful coastal city of Qingdao. Also known as “Eastern Switzerland“. Before it used to be the Qingdao Institute of Chemical Technology. Received its current name in March 2002.
The university has 2 campuses: Sifang (370.000 square meters) and Eats Laoshan (1.335.00 square feet). The staff is 2.000 people and 23.000 students. Currently, the university has 19 colleges, 7 Ph.D., 49 mater’s and 56 bachelor’s programs. The main subjects are materials science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering information and control engineering.
Qingdao University of Technology
The Qingdao University of Technology – interdisciplinary university, which specializes in mechanical engineering, coordinates development with science, economics, management, literature, jurisprudence and art. And also excels in civil engineering, mechanical engineering and environmental energy. It pays attention to both education and humanities education.
Currently, the university has 3 campuses: Shibei, Huangdao and Linyi. The building area is more than 100,34 square meters, the library contains about 2 million books. The university has created a system of education at the bachelor’s, mater’s and Ph.D for 60 years.
The university has 13 colleges and departments. It has 60 bachelor’s, 18 first-level disciplines, 6 mater’s and 2 Ph.D. programs.
China University of Petroleum
China University of Petroleum (UPC) is a key national university. The university is supported by the “211 Project“, “985 Project” and the Ministry of Education. In 2017 was included in the national first-class building plan.
Revered as a “Cradle of talents”, the university is an important base for high-level education for the petroleum and petrochemical industry. It has already developed into a multidisciplinary and comprehensive university specializing in petroleum and engineering. The university now has two campuses in Dongying and Qingdao.
