China Medical University
China Medical University, founded as 1st medical university by the state organization of commie. Some years ago before that, in 1932, the university was opened as two colleges, namely the medical college of red army and the health-protection college of red army for local farmers and employees, in the town of RuJin, JianXi region. The year of the foundation of the university and authorizing by the government to confer bachelor degrees, graduate levels and PhD diplomas is 1939.

Up to now, China Medical University has grown more than 60,000 students, which are working all over the China and the world. Some of the students are popular lecturers and directors at the local medical universities, academies and health-care educational organization.
Today, this university owes 20 schools, buildings for each faculty, 150 edifices, 65 subjects that were permitted to confer doctorates, and 86 to confer bachelor levels, 16 expertnesses for undergrad scholars and 12 expertnesses for advanced master methods, 1 associated medical college, 1 special station of teaching the language and literature of Japan and 1 station of veterinary and animal vaccines pharmacology, 3 native principal labs and 5 regional labs, 2 native analytical educating Centre of medicines and herbs of china, 4 post doctorate high-level Centre, 14 regional principal subjects, 11 regional R&D and treating Centres, 7 leading labs of the schools, 19 self-dependent R&D labs and 3 organizations of technologies and the sciences. China Medical University manages 4 clinics, can totally serve 4,000 patients a day.
University in numbers
The number of faculty members is 7316 (60% of them are professor levels of various fields of sciences), including 689 junior lectures, 410 advanced lecturers, 913 masters for bachelor levels and 260 masters for doctorate levels, 6 academics of Engineering Academy, 3 academics of the commission of the government, estimates academical-levels and 23 presidents and vice presidents of native academical organizations.
Between junior and mid-aged masters 21 have won “new elites of china” or other foundations, 91 have been selected for regional schooling schemes for public staff, 36 are called as regional new leadsmen of educating and intelligent masters.
Recently, the amount of the student body of the university has been reached to 17,000, including 612 doctorate level scholars, 3652 postgrads, 6000 undergrad students, 1348 PhD degrees, etc. The campus of the university is located in the territory of 20km2 and 45% of place is composed of schooling edifices. In the campus, there’re an archive, stores 800,000 different books and recognized as data-sharing Network of the agency of medicine with its rich medicine-oriented e-library in China, and Principal lab of China Medical University, disciplined with veterinary to experiment on vaccines of animals.
