Dalian Maritime University
Dalian Maritime University was founded in 1908. The foundation story is very long and starts from the Nangyan University of Shanghai. The university opened for managing sea industry and shipping. In 1954, Dalian Maritime University was moved to the province of Dalian that is very popular with beautiful coasts of China and the total people of 6,000,000 and merged with three high schools, namely Shanhai oceanographic high school, Dalian Navigational high school, and Fijian navigational high School.
In 1991, the Agency pedagogics of China gave a university-license and since then, the university is known as Dalian Maritime University. Today, the university possesses a territory of 100km2 and over 60% of the territory is full of teaching buildings and stations of sciences. The university is the biggest and only educational institution in the field of commerce on the sea in the state.

Scholarships
Dalian Maritime University recruits 120-160 students for scholarships every year. Scholarships for Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Degree as well as for language courses are provided.

Detailed information about university
The campus of the university has 14 high schools and additionally, every high school has three division centers, which works as an entry helping station. At present, Dalian Maritime University offers two post-doctorate programs, 22 doctorate schemes, 64 master level schemes, and 45 bachelor level schemes. Two subjects of the university, “Managing data” and “marine Engineering”, are leading subjects in the state. It was permitted to grant M.B.A students, M.P.A and J.M students and plus associate master level students, too.
Faculties, teachers
The university has over 4,000 faculties, consist of 341 expert teachers, 583 accomplices, 230 senior lecturers, 79 advisory lecturers and a huge group of skillful junior faculties.
The group of junior teachers and lecturers has been taught deeply in all branches of trading and the act of navigating on the sea and the ocean such as science and technology of sea engineer, contrived sciences of vessel controlling and communication, Sciences of powering-system and fuel-saving of ships, technical supporting of vassal motors, distance communicate and messaging of shipping, maritime ecology and protecting environment and legislation of maritime.
Dalian Maritime University is in possession of 13 academics of engineering academies of China, 84 chairperson lecturers, and 236 visitor lecturers. These people and intelligent collegians are bringing modern technologies and developed methods of Marine sciences to use them while educating at the university. So, the teachers’ and collegians’ intelligence and practices are improving day by day and having comforts in the lessons and other educational environments.
History
During the years of development, the university already taught and cultivated more than 60,000 high-level talents to the world and of course, China. The main part of them is currently working in the companies and organizations that are maritime and near maritime branches specialized. The number of workers has been reached 28,000.
Moreover, the university accepts foreign collegians for the levels of bachelor, master, and Ph.D. By now, the university has grown over 5,500 foreign scholars and skilled experts, come from different sides of the world, by this time. Thanks to the government of China opening all places in the world for us in 1975. Since the year, Dalian Maritime University has made good relationships with foreign colleges, universities, and institutes in the developed-countries like U.S.A, U.K, R.F, etc.
