Henan Normal University Foundation
Henan Normal University was opened in 1923 in a popular town Xinxiang of the province of Henan. In the years of reconstructions of high schools, universities and institutes’ systems and infrastructures, the university was renamed as “Henan Normal College”. Finally, in 1986, a new university named Henan Normal University appeared in the Henan region as well as allocated from Zhengzhou University, which is located near the rails of Taiyun Heze, Mount Taihan and Yellow-river in the south, with the control of the state.

Schooling programs for students
The university and its disciplines have been modified to higher and more advanced ones with full specialties and subjects, during the years of the development. Today, it owes 18 high schools, 26 exploration bases, 13 regional civil specialties and 54 principal specialties for undergraduates, involving 13 disciplines like economy, latters, conducting, farming, liberal arts, management, law and other sciences.
For 40 years, it has been growing graduate level students. In addition, it possesses 7 doctoral degree programs, 10 programs for A1 graduate level students, 83 programs for A2 graduate level students and 5 graduate level conferring programs containing these disciplines of Medicine, economy, latters, conducting, farming, liberal arts, management, law.
Schooling buildings
In the university, one regional affiliated native level laboratory, polluted waters of the rivers of Huanhe and Huayhe protection native level affiliated regional laboratory under the management of the agency pedagogics, environment caring and protection laboratory of Henan, Henan biochemical R&D station to teach and practice, natural sciences R&D station and lots of other experimenting buildings are in use. This university is the cradle of done experiments and preparing masters with graduate diplomas of the MOE. Besides, for the lovers of biology, the administration has built a gallery that is full of various biological exhibitions.
Campus
The campus of the university is located in a ground of 14km2, amongst of it 8km2 is buildings zone. The buildings zone’s overall assumption in yuan is proximately 150,000,000. One of the pearls of the campus is a big library. It keep about 3,000,000 books, 500,000 e-books, and 100,000 periodicals. For that reason, the university can boast with it. At this moment, over 23,000 postgraduate and undergraduate levelled students are studying there.
The number of the body of faculty members is 3,426 those are composed of 1,800 senior masters, 6 academics of Chinese Academies of Science, 2 academics of Chinese academies of engineering and 83 masters awarded with governmental grants for scientific projects and experiments, 6 lecturing guiders of the agency pedagogics, 5 grantees with the yearly achievement called “the best local teacher” and a team of junior teachers.
International relationship and exchange
Henan Normal University is taking good relationship with institutes, universities and colleges in foreign countries such as the USA, UK, Russia, Japan, Korea, Canada, Egypt, etc. It has already made many partnerships and student exchanging programs with over 30 universities. In addition, it has brought over 200 senior lecturers from abroad to lecture and teach. Meanwhile, Henan Normal University have sent over 150 masters for adult education.
