General Information
For some years the Chinese government attempted some projects in order to develop the university quality, rating, and academic strength. To illustrate, “Project 111, 985”, “Plan 2011” is among famous ones. Importantly, Hunan Medical University is also listed on these projects. Also, the university is supported by the Educational Ministry. About 2 years ago the institution received the highest level of universities. Now, the university is being controlled by director Tian Hongqi.
Central South University has been named differently before as Hunan Medical University. The current college started to work about 20 years ago when it was a part of other universities designed for engineering and railway production. Before the construction of Hunan Medical University, Xiangya Medical College became its prior name. Therefore, the previous college was designed to provide advanced programs in medicine with the quality of the West.

Nowadays the position of Central South University is becoming higher and higher. In the educational sphere also the university has gained tons of experience throughout a century. Academic Programs
The university is also designed for the specialty of Metal, medical and railway production. As stated above, the institution has become the primary as well as the first college to prepare pilots for the military base. This program was offered to only master degree students.
