The High education establishment started its work in the middle of the twentieth century, namely in 1952. The Shenyang Aerospace University is located in the center of the city of Shenyang (northeast China). It was founded Shenyang is considered as the city of China’s aviation since it is here that more than ten companies specializing in the production of air and satellite facilities are based.
The city has four aeronautical research institutes working in tandem with each other. The university has a campus, with a magnificent view of nature and different flora and fauna. The total number of square meters of Campus is more than 1,200 thousand. And the total area of buildings is more than half a million square meters. One of the historical events at the university is that, for the first time in 1958, students, under the guidance of experienced teachers, launched the first plane into the sky. Today, over twenty thousand students study at the High education establishment and the number of employees is more than 1,600. The eight hundred of them are teachers with a Ph.D. degree, and the number of professors is more than 300.

Educational institution
The curriculum of the Higher educational institution consists not only of specialized disciplines of aeronautics and cosmonautics but also of other areas of study, namely, such as management, science and others. High School offers its students 45 areas of Bachelor programs, as well as more than fifty types of Master’s degree programs. It should be noted that in the High education establishment’s aero-park there are over twenty aircraft and several dozen research laboratories to reproduce realistic flight situations and others. There is a helicopter maintenance center in High school, that center is considered as one of the most advanced in the country. In a very short time, it is expected to receive a special permit for the examination and maintenance of aircraft.
International cooperation
The management of the High educational establishment makes great efforts to establish international cooperation with other leading aerospace educational and scientific institutions. In addition, the Graduate School places special emphasis on the recruitment of foreign students. Today, more than 350 foreign students study at the university, and the geography of these countries is quite extensive. The number of countries from which students came is more than forty. Foreign students study in various areas of study, ranging from training programs oriented towards aero-cosmonautics and ending with the study of English or Chinese languages. For those, who want to study in English, bachelor’s programs are offered in the following types of areas: aeronautical engineering, international economics, and others. For those, who wish to continue their studies in the master’s program, the higher school offers the following areas of study: aeronautical & technical engineering and others.
Today, the High education establishment has partnership memorandum with lots of well-known manufacturing companies, namely, such as Shenyang Aircraft Corporation and others. It should be also noted, that the High school offers its students places of practice in more than fifty partner companies.
