Location and educational environment
Yanbian University is located in a suburb in the province of Jillian. The total territory of it is approximately 30km2 and 7km2 is covered by the new-built dorm of the university. It is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and green woods. There are 22 schools that offer 75 undergrad different disciplined programs, include 15 principal state and ministerial level subjects, 8 region level subjects and 21 ministerial-level subjects with lots of advantages.

The schools consist of teaching buildings, 4 stations for postgraduate students, 6 schemes for doctorates and 120 schemes for master levels. Moreover, they have a station for Korea students, one principal lab of Herbies and drugs of Mount Changbay and chemical pharmacy, scientific bases for cultivating and feeding methods and techniques of bovine animals under the jurisdiction 6 institutes and academies of the province.

Scholarships
University recruits 120-160 students for scholarships every year. Scholarships for Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Degree as well as for language courses are provided.

Awesome features of Yanbian University for internationals
Now 30,000 scholars, amongst them 800 are from abroad and mostly from the U.K, Canada, Egypt, India, and the U.S.A, are being taught at the university. The scholars have all necessities and comforts. Additionally, they are provided with advanced Chinese training atmosphere and culture. From the year of the establishment of the university, the main spoken languages are Chinese and Korean-language in it. Hence, the occupants utilize these two speak these two languages.
The university has set up an idiomatic atmosphere to learn Chinese and Korean for oversea collegians and particularly for the collegians from U.S.A and Canada and they are able to speak and talk with each other and native scholars any place and any time in honor of these works. Several speech training courses are helping scholars who want to develop the quality of their Chinese rapidly. There is also a park for collegians to have a good time in the Mount of Changbay. It is well-known as the real nature of chine. For 20 years, this university has been using the whole scholarships of the government of China.
Extra information
Yanbian University was established in 1948 as a complete disciplined university in the Yangji town of the Jillian’s region. In 1973, it was sponsored by the “two-one-one” enterprise that projected to build high-level top universities in China by the government. The subjects for oversea collegians of the university are managed by agency pedagogics and the MOE. The construction of the biggest dorm, which schemed with aiming at giving better tuition to scholars, finished in 2012, 07 March.
