Campus
At the end of the 20th century, the university built a new campus, which created all the necessary conditions for comfortable learning and conducting research projects by students of the university. All classrooms and research centers are equipped with the latest technology, and the open campus is planted with flowers and trees, a wonderful natural atmosphere can attract anyone with its uniqueness. The total area of the university campus reaches over one million square meters. It should be noted, that the Ministry of Education of China nominated the university campus as one of the most beautiful ones.
General information
At the university, there are about fifteen colleges, where a total of more than thirty undergraduate programs are offered. The university has more than six hundred highly qualified teachers, most of whom have been trained abroad. About 60% of teachers are holders of Ph.D., and another 15% at the stage of defending a doctoral dissertation in the next 2-3 years. The total number of students who study at Dalian University has reached almost twenty thousand. So, for example, a college of international cultural exchange can accept more than a hundred foreign students, and to other colleges, depending on the university’s quota programs.
The Dalian High School Library Fund offers over seven hundred thousand books to students and scholars of the university, as well as about five thousand scientific publications and journals. University students are offered education levels from vocational schools to postgraduate courses, while at the same time, three hospitals are offered to choose medical schools for medical practice.
Research
From 2015 to 2018, more than ninety research projects were carried out at the university, about twenty of which are national research projects. More than 30% of the total amount of research work is research at the regional and provincial levels. The field of scientific research starts from the natural and human sciences to the technical and highly specialized sciences.
For the successful conduct and delivery of research, the university was awarded various state awards, as well as awards presented by various ministries of the country. Leading scholars and professors of the Dalian higher educational institution wrote over two hundred scientific manuscripts, thanks to extensive work in the field of scientific research. At the beginning of the 21st century, the university’s science and technology foundation was more than two million American dollars.
Thanks to the new conditions that have been created at the university in recent years, Dalian Higher Education Institution has been able to reach great heights without stopping there. One of the priorities assigned to the university is considered to be the university’s entry into the topmost prestigious universities in the country.
